can anyone tell me how well this ds accessory works

im looking for a way to play the ds online and this seems like its a decent choice but id like to know how well it works and if theres any other cersions of this same kind of product out and how wel they work. are there any pros or cons in using these to play ds games online?

I started out with one of the Wi-Fi Connectors as soon as it was launched. It works well enough within a short range. The main gripe I had with it is that walls seemed to interfer. I could play fine in the same room the computer was in, but if I tried to play in my bedroom or any other place in my one-bedroom apartment, I had trouble getting signal.

For hardly more than the price of one of those, I'd get a wireless router. That's the route I've taken, and the range is greatly improved.

Edit: If you're determined to try it out, though, I'd recommend buying one on the cheap from GameStop for $19.99 used. You can use the inventory search here (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=900652), and if it sucks, return it promptly.

I have one, as the post above stated in the same room it works great. The next room its ok, but works. If I try to go more than one room away it has problems.

Not positive about the one you linked to, but the new ones you find at stores like Best Buy work for the Wii also. I have no idea if it is only a software or hardware difference.
