Hello ps3 people, I need assistance. I fired up my ps3 for the second time in as many days and nothing is displaying. I started by using the existing hdmi cable I had originally set it up with when I first turned it on a few days ago, I tried using the hdmi cable I was using for my dvr box, and then I used the ps3 pack in av cables. Nothing is working. I assume this is some weird display issue but I guess it could be that the system is borked and just isnt playing. Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Press (and hold) the power button for 3-5 seconds. You should hear a beep or two. The PS3 *should* (auto) re-configure itself.

You could always hook back up your composite cables, and reset everything as well.

Well at least its not completely fuxxored. That worked for the a/v cables that came packed w/ the system. Now if I could just get it to work with one of my hdmi cables. :bomb:

I dont understand how this could be happening .. it worked fine the other day with my hdmi cables.

It should be fine for the HDMI cables, by just holding the power button.

It should be fine for the HDMI cables, by just holding the power button.

When I disconnect the a/v cables, turn the power off, switch to my hdmi channel and plug the hdmi cable in and then hold the power button for 5 seconds or so, it will beep a second time but it wont get the consecutive beeps afterwards (like it did when I reset it to my a/v composite settings) and then my picture will stay blank. It doesnt say "no signal" as if its not receiving anything. It just stays blank like something is coming through but just not displaying. I've tried this now with two different hdmi cables on two different hdmi ports of my tv.

Well I seemed to have fixed it somehow *knock on wood*. Not sure what I did differently that I hadnt dont before (other than apply update 1.92 and turn my tv on and off).

This is what happened to me a while ago, after unplugging the TV set and PS3 during a storm. After it passed and I plugged them back in, I couldn't get anything to display using HDMI. I still have no got it resolved. I am using a Sharp Aquos 46" (46D62U). If you remember anything specific you might have done, please let me know.
