Does Gamestop trade in old strategy guides?

If so, how much do they usually give per guide? I got a ton of them in my basement.

I think they sell most guides for $3.99 but I don't know the trade in value of old ones.

Yes, they do as well as ssome corporate Gamecrazies. It is very hard to find a franchise gamecrazy that allows to trade in used books. I have seen them here and there though. I know that if you trade in at a Gamecrazy that allows used guidebooks, it's $1 no matter what book or how the condition is. They normally sell them for $1.99 to 2.99. You can get some pretty good ones at Gramecrazy that are in near mint condition most of the time though there are nothing rare. I've been able to find though, some rare/hard to find ones at gamestop's though.. Don't know about how much the trade in value is at Gamestop though.

Yes, you can, but you get shit for them. .50 for a Ps1/2 guide, and about $1 for a GC / Xbox/GBA guide. Unless your guides are crap, sell them to someone. I HAVE been able to get a few good guides there though, including a Lunar SSC one for $1.99. Not the WD one, but a good one nonetheless.

The Prima one? I have that also, and it sucks. They even used the Japanese version in the pics and everything. Plus it is in black and white.

I have like 3-4 copies of the WD one that I got from when it first came out and then various sales afterwards. But there's no way in hell I'm selling any of them.

its YMMV. some lamestops take them in for .50 to 1. The people at my location in tallahassee said it depends on title, not system. I know the one in gainesville wouldn't take them in. it better to trade to friends or sell yourself online.

Gamestop gives $.50 for any PS2 stradegy guides, and $1 for any xbox and NGC guides.

All used guides are sold for $1.99, no matter what platform.

EDIT: This is NOT YMMV and goes by system, not game.

the gamestop i work at does NOT take in strat guides, we used to, but our DM decided that it was not worth it, as the guides were usually for old or unpopular games and did not sell. Not sure if its just our district or all Gamestops.
