Velocity Micro - Is this a good PC?

I've been looking at getting a good PC for about $1500, I was going to go with one of those places that make custom PC's but then I saw this ad for Best Buy:

I have a Best Buy RewardZone Mastercard and I should get a good amount of RZ's with it, and I have a pretty good Samsung LCD monitor already but I could use another monitor...but is this PC good, or should I stay away?

If you build that system yourself, you can probably build it for around $900 including the Vista OS. So save yourself $500 ans stay away from retail PCs. Either go with picking your own parts and build, or have your computer custom built by ibuypower.com or cyberpowerpc.com

Also if you're going to spend over $1000 on a gaming computer, it better at least have an 8800GTS 320MB in it. 8600 series won't cut it in terms of quality gaming.

You could do better than that, and pay less as well.

Buy parts online and build it yourself, or if you don't know how, there are sites out there that will build you a system.(not sure which though, ibuypower?)

i bought mine from cyberpowerpc.com and it had a evga 7950 GT with 2 gigs of ram for about 900 bucks.
