Always avoided MVP as not worth the cost but they now offer 1 year of EGM so it's not so bad. Might even get it if I can extend my current EGM sub rather than get double copies for 8 months.
This was in Chicago so not sure if all GC doing it.. anyone else seen the offer?

Didn't see if the offer was only for new MVP members or also renewals.
Isn't the renewal price cheaper than the initial cost?

Yaeh I believe that everyone is doing this now, EB does it with their card with a subscription for 10 months to GMR, Gamestop (in my opinion the best one) does it for 10 months with GameInformer, and Gamecrazy does it with EGM.

oh god now they add a magazine subscription to it.. does anyone know if you can get the magazine even if u got the card before theey added teh magainze thing

Was in there the other day and the guys had no idea what it would be, unfortunately.
I hope they do send it out to the existing MVP members because that would really be screwing us to not do so. Or at least allow us to go to the store and ask about it, then give our address to send the mag to. Or even on their website fill out a form or something.

I hate when people complain about that. the new deals are to get new customers. You already subscribed, you came to the conclusion that a MVP card was worth owning sans subscription, the subscription is to entice people who don't have it yet.

Guys....its $25 now for a MVP, not $20. The extra $5 is for the sub. If you want your own sub, RENEW. Simple as that.

I hate it when people like you post stupid shit like that. If we both paid the same amount (which luckily it appears isn't true) then why the shit shouldn't we get the same stuff?

look i work at gamecrazy and this is not a company deal. They prob did it to just get the mvp sale, the card is still 20 and only 15 for a renewel

Togepy, I know at GS it's 10 dollars for ten months of Lame Informer. I do not know about EB.
Eb also charges $10 for their card.

Thanks, I might sign up for the card at Gamestop just for Game Informer because I heard it's one of the best magazines.

the game informer is better than the eb one IMO but gmr seeems to skim through with small game summaries and such

I prefer GameInformer to any other mag out there nowadays. It used to be expertgamer and EGMsquared/2 but sadly they are no longer.

MVP card USE to be $20
Now they are $25 with a mag sub.
People pay $5 MORE NOW to get mag sub.
You pay $20 it cheaper. No Mag.
CONCLUSION:
$5 more gets yoy a magazine subscription (and a a juicy kiss)
