Every thing stretch down in size with higher resolution.

When I change resolution to a higher level, every thing like icons, words, etc stretch down to so small that I could barely read them. I have to set the resolution below my monitor native resolution to see thing on my screen normally. Is this a problem varies by video card?

I went to bestbuy for a test drive. I change the resolution of their monitor and the picture look better. No stretching at all.

It sounds like your monitor has crappy scaling and its native resolution is too high for standard PC use. Most applications can increase text size if you want to run at your monitor's native resolution but still have larger text.
