Anyway to extend a speaker's wire without destroying the wire? Like adding wire to the speaker's wire with a connector?

What kind of speakers are you talking about? i.e. speakers with a built-in wire that ends in a 3.5mm plug? Or speakers with their own speaker wire that ends in two leads? Or RCA connections...?
Look for a "headphone extension cable". I think it is what you need, basically will extend the length of your headphone cable (which is the same as your regular computer speaker cable). You can usually get it in various lengths of 3-10ft, I don't know how much extra length you need. Keep in mind that going too far will cause audio signal degredation.

Like what Ruahrc said, you probably are looking for something like this (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021802&p_id=648&seq=1&format=2). If you're not comfortable buying online, RadioShack will have these for under $5.
