I'm looking for a good and affordable optical audio cable to hook my PS3 to a 5.1 surrounding speaker. Prefer to buy it from a store cuz I can't wait any longer to order it online.

They aren't more than 15 bucks it seems like. Go to a Target or somewhere like that. If you want it dirt cheap, get it from monoprice.com. You'd probably get it Monday or Tuesday.

Get it from monoprice, you'll get it in 3 days or less. If you live in CA or a nearby state, you'll get it in 1 day.
Buy from monoprice. There are links in the PS3 101 thread and in it's own "other deals" thread.

All optical cables are the same. Go to Target and buy the 360 one on clearance for $5.
Radio Shack has them for $17.

Urk. Reread the OP.
If you can't wait and need to go to a store, go to Walmart/Target. Buy the cheapest generic black rubber coated no name TOS cable there. It will work just fine.

Monoprice DOES ship pretty quick, if you can wait a few days....2-3 days maybe.
But yes, ANY CHEAP cable works. I even used a micro thin one as a test before, and it worked fine.
Just don't crimp it or bend it too sharply.

I can confirm the Xbox one is $5 at target.
another vote for Monoprice. good optical cables for a couple of bucks. you won't regret it.

monoprice! took a single business day to get my 6 cables. :) i bought the cheapest 6 ft optical cable on there btw. works the same as the 20 dollar one i bought from frys in-store (which i returned).

It really depends on what you are ordering. I just got in my 75' VGA cable, 14 pairs of banana plugs, 1 set of "Premium" PSP slim cables, and it was $8.31 to ship via UPS ground.
I've ordered single cables from them with shipping being <$4
