I'm curious, does anyone care about Flatout? I played the demo last night, and it actually wasn't that bad. Then again, I was a fan of the first one for PC, but what I didn't like what it seemed as though you couldn't be ejected from your car anymore, and that you can't eject anyone else either. Also, it seemed pretty hard. I played it 3 times and still couldn't finish a race before time ran out.

Anyway, I might pick this up if they release it for $30 or maybe even $40, but anymore than that, i'll just wait for a price drop.

Flatout 2 is surprisingly fun as a multiplayer game although I have not tried it singleplayer yet.

You can try out the multiplayer on the demo?! Jeeeze, now I can't wait to get home!

I love the 360 demo. I downloaded the Europe version (demo) when it came out months ago and i have probably put 20+ hours into it. The city race (through the storm drains or w/e) is hard as hell, i'v enever finished. But the Derby and the other race through the woods and such are a blast. I've crashed quite a few times head-on and my guy and the other person will get thrown from their vehicle.

The game is supposed to be $49.99 for the 360 so i'll probably wait for a deal/price drop as well. I was really hoping for a replay save feature because there have been some insane wrecks...perhaps an update/DLC in the future could fix that, if not, oh well.

Hey hey! Potsdam! Do you go to school there?

Anyway, yeah, I can't beat that track either! It's wicked hard, but I love all the shit in the road. Very cool. Also, I think they need to boost the turbo a bit. At first I was like "Do I even have any turbo?" I didn't get that sense of speed.

Demo ruled. I wouldn't pay more than $15 for the game, though.

Sadly, yes, SUNY. As for the turbo, it's hit or miss. On the woods-y track, there's the downhill jump where if you use some turbo right before it, you can feel the sense of speed. But other than that, it could use a bit more...umph. Can't wait for the first deal i see for this :)

$15!? Really?! Wow, and I thought I was a cheap bastard (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3343898#post3343898).

Hey, SUNY is all good. I went to SUNY New Paltz and it was great! I know a few people who go to Potsdam.

Yeah, the first deal I see i'll probably jump on it. Maybe CC will have it for $40 when it releases. Did you notice any driver ejecting? I haven't seen any, but maybe i'm doing it wrong.

I personally didn't have an option to launch my driver, but it i hit the bus, or hit another car head-on (me going backwards), my driver would get ejected from the car. Other cars driver would as well.

Nice, i'll have to give it a shot.

Why do people neglect this series so much? I mean, look, 3 or 4 people have posted about this game...that's it.

There are plenty of games out there, and only limited monies in my wallet.

It was probably one of the better demos I played with as much replayability as it had. The destruction derby mode was hella fun. I just found the racing a little dull. The cars had a slightly floaty feel when turning and as already mentioned, the boost effects are quite weak.

True true, in fact, why the hell are they releasing this now? Seems like the wrong time of year to do it. They should wait until the spring or maybe even the summer of next year. Too bad they couldn't have release it a couple of months ago.

They did actually...in Europe. No clue why they didn't release it here at the same time as well.

I think it was this thread where someone asked if you could still launch the driver...here's your answer :) The cheapass in me tells me to wait for a price drop, but the gamer in me wants this now :P

If you want this game cheap, buy Flatout 2. It's literally the same game with a graphical makeover.

But last i checked FlatOut 2 only had 8 cars on track versus 12 in UC. Plus there's literally thousands of more objects possible on-screen in UC. And i must admit the graphical upgrade is quite nice.

Well yeah. Prettier graphics and more cars on the screen, but it's still the same game.

I dunno, i just found it fun. I enjoyed the extra cars, the better graphics, and the countless objects on screen to hit. I wouldn't pay full price ($49.99) but it's tempting to use GC and get it at Buy.com for like $38.99 last i checked.
