Weird question, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure whether the DS or DS lite uses internal flash memory? Also do any of the officially licensed DS games use flash memory?
There's no flash memory in DS. If you are wondering how DS games save, it uses memory on individual game carts.

What about the data that is store on the DS itself such as the settings and stuff like that? Also do the games contain any flash memory?

if there is flash memory its very little...each time you mess with the settings or even pictochat it has to shut down

What does it matter? Nintendo has made it so simple that we don't have to worry about this. All you need is a DS and a game. That's it!

I'm sure DS games use flash memory to save progress.
