New Wii and Xbox 360 Games for $20 Ebay Auctions....legit?

What is this about? If it is legit then there are some excellent deals, even if you have to wait. Have you guys seen this before?

What is the saying about to good to be true?

Couple of things. The seller recently changed his name. The seller previously sold nothing but Nascar stuff and all of sudden he has an outlet to buy video games well below cost. Most damning of all: He talks about not emailing him regarding game selection etc. He will only check paypal for games ordered. Could this mean he does not have access to the email account for the ebay seller? Don't they restrict changes to your information after a name change? I bet we will see a few games ship and he will get a fair amount of new feedback which will drive sales up and than he will disappear ala a pyramid type scheme.

If you do buy use your credit card so you can dispute the charge and remember it might cause you to have to close that paypal account. So damn tempting though. A smarter scammer should have set the cost at $30 or $40.

yea our best bet is to wait to we see some feebacks. If he is legit this is a steal. Im wanting that mario galaxy and Brawl. We should keep this bump in case it is real so other cags can see this.

Actually I would think buying now and not waiting would be safer. I think some games will likely ship and than when the volume picks up he will be gone if this is not legit.

Nagging at me to buy. Remember when they were seller PS3 disc only a few months back. That turned out ok but the prices were higher.

All games listed will be available by the time we order them, I also want to state that we will order games when we have 100 sold or the auction ends, so if after 4 days we have sold 100 we will place the order for that 100, if after the auction ends and we sold 50 then we will order that 50. to sum it up after every 100 sold we will place an order

seems just a tad fishy to me. i also noticed he had conan for 360 does that game even have a release date yet or better yet is it even finished yet? how would he get something like that?

Doesn't ebay refund your purchase if the auction is a scam? If so, I think it would be worth the risk. You'd either get your money back or you'd get SSBB for $20.

If I am not mistaken since this seller takes only paypal you would be required to go through the paypal buyers protection plan. You also have only 45 days to file a dispute. He talks about taking up to a month to order the items, plus 10 to 15 days to ship. Pretty close to 45 days. Also if you don't pay with a credit card you are are at the whim of paypal. If they can't recover the full amount from the seller's account you might be sol. In the end if you buy use a credit card to be as safe as possible.

If you did use the Ebay protection plan it is capped at $175 with a $25 deduction to process the claim so you would be out $25.

Oops just noticed that his telephone number listed in the auction matches the store phone number.

THis also sounds to me like it could be a mass production pirating setup. Based on the "Order 100", that sounds like it is a pressing run for pirated games...just my thoughts, but this could be how they are so cheap.

I'm gonna wager that this guy got his account hacked, and someone in Hong Kong or something is using it to do a pirate scheme. That'd explain the name and location change, the sudden change in merchandise, the month+ processing, and the overall shady nature of the whole operation.

So I wouldn't touch this at all.
