I personally run off of a little of both, I have a PC mainly for Video games, because I can customize it and a Laptop because it's much faster than my PC.

Yaeh, that's sort of how I am. I love wireless. It's great going all over the house and still being connected to the internet. It only sucks because you have to work off of the battery.

That's a stupid question.
A laptop is a personal computer, just not a desktop.
Macs are not PCs.
In conclusion: laptops can be PCs or not, and desktops can be PCs or not.

Macs are not PCs.
A Mac is a PC. PC stands for Personal Computer. A Mac is a Personal Computer. Therefore a Mac is a PC.

a laptop is a PC
a Mac is also a PC
True, but most people differentiate between a desktop as a PC and a Laptop as, well, Laptop. You guys are trying to be too technical and analyzing the question a little too much.

Anything can be a PC (personal computer) if you put it that way, a calculator could be considered as well as a personal computer.

No; a computer is a general-purpose device. A calculator is not. Specifically, a calculator is not programmable.

Thats slang, and technicaly incorrect. A Mac is a PC according to the english definition of PC. To be a PC a device has to:
a. be a microcomputer
b. be used for personal use

Not true, let's look at the word computer. Its base word is compute. Now let's look at calculator, its base word is calculate. They are very much the same. A calculator and a computer both have chips, while most calculators don't have CPUs, some have like the TI-89, 93, HP(don't remember it's exact number). Many of the more advanced TIs, such as the former TIs, can actually be programmed to play certain small games, and download some ectra content.

A device that can be programmed with general purpose software is a computer; we call programmable computers calculators because of their primary function. geez.

Yup, but what ever let's just call a truce O.k. We must stop this bickering among us. I think it is the leftovers from DLF.

Is anybody so finely attuned to their CAG needs that they had a wireless WAN account, such as those from Verizon, so they can fire up the laptop and check CAG any time they're passing a possible retail treasure trove?
If I could afford the account I'd never go anywhere without a laptop in the car.

Thats true since my Mac is technically called a Power PC G4 but if I go into a retail store telling them I need parts or software for my "PC", I'm going to be shown stuff that's not compatible with my Mac (unless I'm in an Apple store). That's why I and most Mac owners don't call their Mac's PC's.
