It was a preorder bonus for Rebel Strike.

The disk was a pre-sell item for those who wanted to purchase the rebel strike game!

I believe the preview disc was given away to those who pre-ordered the full game from a participating retailer.

EDIT: Oops, you guys beat me to it. ;)

BestBuy was giving them away with any purchase. I picked one up to play the old-school arcade Star Wars game.

I picked one up at BB without purchase myself. When it rang up at the registers for 1-cent, the ditzy blonde cashier was like "Ohmygosh! It's almost free!"

But that raises a question of my own. I finally purchased the complete game about 6-months later at EB but it was a double-disc game that included both the game and the demo. Did they not all have both discs or were some just 1 disc without the demo included?

Some were packed in with the game, some were not. Some stores didn't get the stand alone case for the demo disc. Same thing happened with Mario Kart Double Dash or Pokemon Colessum(don't remember which one it was).

Everything that was on it is also on the Rebel Strike disc though.

Well, everything but the Gladius trailer. Although that's kinda worthless now.

Colosseum in the US did not have two discs. The pre-order bonus in the US was simply a means of getting Jirachi into Ruby/Sapphire as well as fixing the Berry time glitch. In Europe, however, they had Colosseum come with Pokémon Box: Ruby & Sapphire.

To be more specific...it is the original Star Wars Arcade Game with Vectrex graphics and it is awesome.

I just bought a copy from EB, thinking it was the actual game. I should've checked first. :(
