A guy I know is selling a 5th generation black 30gb ipod for $150 (possibly less). It is mint and comes with a new warranty and carrying case. Is this a good deal? Should I bite? I don't know much about ipods. Any feedback?

Is it a 5th gen, or a 5.5th gen? Either way, the prices of these things are falling like rocks since the iPod classic was announced. If you really want an iPod and keep looking, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone let this go for $100.

I suppose it is if that's enough disk space for you. Since 80GB classics are $250, I'd hold out for a refurb of that to arrive in the Apple store, personally.

Personally, I wouldn't bite at that price...unless of course you didn't care newer models are out and your not willing to spend more for it

It seems ok...if it was priced at $100 that it would be a tougher choice ;)

Yeah 80gb sounds kind of crazy for me, that's way too much space. I'm going to try to get the price lower because I really need something, I'm tired of my sony walkman. I'm really not sure what to do.

And yeah it's a 5, not 5.5.
