I'm looking for the earphones that come with the 80GB iPod Video for as cheap as possible. Anybody know any deals? Thanks in advance.

I don't really like those. I've tried them and they aren't to my liking. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Apple stuff is tough to find cheap. They pricefix all their shit.

Why would you want the Apple headphones? They're shit. You can find much better ones for cheaper!

They are ok for stock headphones. I would recommend against purchasing it separately, unless they have made good improvements on the newer ones. They are a rip off at retail prices. Hopefully, you are not getting them for just for looks. How about some Sennheiser MX400's?

I suggest you try vmoda's. They are very good quality. Bought them 3 months ago, and the bass response is excellent. I got them for $29.99. Though you should watch for the flimsy cord.

If you are talking about stock iPod headphones, then just ask for some at your local Apple Store. I have over 10 pairs of stock headphones I got from just asking them.

May be a YMMV, but it's worth a shot.

eBay resellers will be your best bet at getting a decent price on the headphones. That being said, I'm with everyone else in suggesting that you invest your money elsewhere instead of with the Apple branded earphones. I use my Apple headphones but that's becuase I've had miserable luck with the other headphones I've bought. But, I must state, that I've replaced my Apple headphones thru the warranty at least 8 times over the last 4 iPods I've had. They're shit. But at least Apple overnights a replacement pair for free everytime.

There are a lot of fakes out there. Most of the fakes are from Asia and will be selling for 1/3 the retail cost.

Alternatively, you could go to head-fi.org's Trade/Sale forum and post a request. I'm sure there are plenty of people there who would gladly give you a deal on iPod earphones. That forum doesn't like stock earphones too much.

I wonder if the OP is even checking the thread. He hasn't responded.

Do not get the Bose in ear phones. Bose stuff tend to be very overpriced. You can get better stuff for cheaper with the other brands.

Yeah... no kidding

I'd suggest Sennheiser MX400 and if you want a great set then either CX-300s or PX-200/100s.

Tbh, theres these Ink'd earphones I think at FYE that the price goes down to $9.99 but YMMV. They're the best ones. Feel the best on my ears. Try those, you won't regret it

I'm usually not an audiophile, but I'm going to look around for some of these suggested earphones for my IPod. I need something that will produce a good, loud sound for when I'm mowing the lawn but I don't want to fork out the duckies for some noise canceling headphones/earbuds.

What else would you guys suggest?

I use my JVC marshmallows when I mow the lawn. They are a cheaper pair of isolation earphones.

I have these:
http://www.amazon.com/JBuds-Hi-Fi-Noise-Reducing-Buds-White/dp/B000I68BD4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/104-7869463-7451146?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1190862509&sr=8-2
20$, sound reducing and great bass!

What else would you guys suggest? You'd probably want some isolating earphones then like IEMs (in-ear monitors). They'll block out most noise and get significant volume with most portable players. Some popular ones are Shure E2C/E2G, Etymotic ER6, Altec Lansing M716, and UE Super.Fi 3 Studio. They average about $60, shipped. The v-Moda Vibes also got decent reviews. I've had my UE SF5 (upgraded from the SF3) for a few years now and I'm happy with them.

But, since this is CAG and $60 is a lot, you could always get the JVC Marshmallows ($20) or Koss Plugs ($15-ish) and use those with Shure foam tips ($2-ish eBay) to get more isolation. I use Shure foamies with my JVC Marshmallows for the gym because the JVC's stock tips are very uncomfortable for me and this combo isolates pretty well for its total cost - Marshmallows on sale for $10 + Shure foamies for $2.50.

Best headphones I use are those cheap Sony ones for $20 all over the place. Basically a small pair of cans. I can't stand earbuds.

MDR-V150 is the model number.
