All three of those XBox titles are backwards compatible on the 360 BTW. Fable and Half Life 2 are both excellent games. If you've already played Half Life 2 on the PC, there's no point in buying it again, however.

PC version is far superior, the Xbox version is a good port but it has some slowdown during hectic fights, which isn't present in the PC version. In fact, the PC HL2 supports really low-end machines when running in DX 7 or 8, I even ran it on the integrated (IE shitty) graphics card on my laptop.

Plus, the Xbox version has no online whatsoever, nor will you see graphical updates to the original HL2 as the new episodes come out (when Episode 1 came out it added HDR to the entire game, although I'm sure that's available as a standalone update now).

On the other hand, the 2-pack HaloClix set was limited to pre-orders only, and no extras were available. The 4-pack was available to anyone.

The preview pack is already going for $25+ on ebay. One went for as high as $45.

While they are getting short-changed, and it isn't right, at least the preview edition is becoming valuable.

Is it widescreen 480p? I've been holding out to get the PC version, but my PC monitor is 4:3. Lower res widescreen or high res 4x3...that is the question.

Ran through the Target deal for Halo 3, and it's a mixed bag.

Yes, you do get the 4-pack of HaloClix for free, though it makes it a package with Halo 3, so you have to return both items to get it. On my receipt, it was $51-something for Halo 3 being returned on its own, and $8-something for the HaloClix being returned on its own.

So, if you think you're going to get the HaloClix for free without keeping Halo 3, you're mistaken.
