Can anyone suggest a credit card that offers good points towards travel (hotel or airlines)?

I plan on using this to pay for my utilities and other regular bills every month to build up the points. I intend on paying the balance in full every month.

thanks

AMEX Starwood Preferred Guest Card. Best card I've had. You get 10,000 points with first purchase and 1pt=$1. You can use the points for any starwood owned hotels and rooms start at 3000 points depending on the hotel rating. You can also use points for flights and other travel needs. www.spg.com

Depends on what you want to purchase with your points, and what circumstances surround that want.

I live in Houston, the central hub for Continental Airlines. I wanted flier miles, preferably on a carrier that does direct flights. It was a no brainer for me.

I have the Amex Blue Sky card. $1=1 point, and every 7500 points equals a $100 statement credit to use towards any travel related expense from any source - airfare, hotel, rental car, etc.

I use the Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard for my everyday purchases. The interest is pretty high, but I pay it off immediately so its not biggie to me. I've already earned about $115 in free BB certificates.
