View Full Version : Ikaruga $19.99 FYE In-Store YMMV?

Just thought I'd let anyone know who's interested that at FYE the other day I saw Ikaruga new for $19.99. It had one of those red sale stickers on it, you know what I mean if you've ever been to FYE.

Also I'm not sure if this is YMMV or not because there are only 2 FYEs around me and the other one didn't have it, but it may hvae been just out of stock.

Some additional details I found out with a couple of phone calls:
1) It is on sale for $19.99, until August 24th. It's /only/ B&M for the sale.
2) It might be in stock, though they'll "order" it for you, which means they'll ask for a copy to be restocked when they get their twice-weekly restocking, taking down you name and phone # for when it shows up. They also said I should check back in a couple of weeks for it to show up. I guess you might luck out with it showing up if you "order" it.
3) Use the UPC for placing the order, so that way they don't goof up the order: 722242519781

I did suggest that if they stocked quite a bit of them, they'll sell out immediately. Hopefully we can get some luck with that, since I know I'm going to call them quite a bit on it and check to see if it shows up.

wow - there's one at 58th and Lex - right around the corner! Amazing this thing called the Internet is... I'm going tomorrow if they have it in stock (it's raining a bit much here right now...)...

Hope you do find one. My local ones didn't have it, I hope they do "order" it like they said they would.

I also tossed the link to the store locator in my original post, so people can go right to it and see. Seems like they're everywhere, like 700 locations, most in the East.

I just called and they said there is none in stock but they are expecting a shipment soon...

I hope any of the FYE stores I go to get Ikaruga soon. I never even seen a used copy there.

Hopefully they won't just mine in, and they'll take my advice and get in more than just my single copy.

If they do get in more than once, I'm sure there are a few CAGers that would be happy to get it, new and sealed, for $19.99 + tax + reasonable S & H.

I'll be checking with them periodically and see what I can find.

If you have a Fry's Electronics near you they carry it for $19.99 as well.

I called they don't have it in stock . She said the same thing shrike4242 posted . I ordered over the phone (I trade there).I'll pick it up later next week.

It's not Fye or anything but if some of you are having trouble finding this game and happen to live near a Fry's you might wanna check there. I stopped by one the other day and they had about 20 new copies of this game for $19.99...

yeah frys has lods of this title, it was on outpost.com for $20 for a while but is out of stock online.

So as long as they carry the game, they'll order a copy for you? Pandora Tomorrow for the Gamecube for example?

Yep. They will order it for you , then call you . Also they may ask you for a small deposit like $5 (I paid a few days ago for San Andreas) but again YMMV

It seems like they don't have Ikaruga in a wherehouse. I got a call today she located an OPEN copy in Staten Island (NY).Yeah right ! I just moved from NY :D . I said No . I can get sealed copy from EBGames for around $25. Got a second call later, found one on a West Coast sealed. Shipped.

Just checked with my local store, who said they "ordered" it and they told me the following good news:

1) It's not orderable anymore, according to the woman I spoke with at my local one, though apparently it's available across the FYE chain. They're going to have it transferred from one of the other stores. This is what they're doing for me and my copy, which should be there by the end of the week.
2) They can check with the other stores in the chain and see who has them. Definately call them and see if you can get them to source it from another area, and they'll do it, if they can find it.

It's definately in short supply, and I think it might no longer be orderable/stockable, so it might be until they run out/as supplies last. From what this person said at the store, the ad for it is supposed to say "While Supplies Last".

If I do find copies beyond mine, I have no problem sending them to other CAGers for reasonable S & H, to help out my fellow CAGers. Doubt I'll find any, but it's always worth helping out others.

Picked up my copy yesterday, and they had a second one, which I picked up and sold to Howeraing.

My local FYE told me they might get more copies in, since I told them thay if they did, they'd disappear in a second. We'll have to see if they do.

why did my FYE have to close down. the closest ones are in Orangeburg, Florence, and Sumter.

My Fry's still hasn't restocked Ikaruga so if anyone has a few to sell I'd be interested. Mine also informed me that they couldn't order it for me so it seems I'll just keep calling em.

If my FYE gets in more in the timeframe they're talking about, I'll snatch them up and work my way to getting them to CAGers. Theoretically to be next week, if they do come in.

And if they do well with a second stocking, maybe I'll see if they can do another one, and keep passing around the cheapasslove and get more Ikaruga into the hands of other CAGers.
