So this isn't so much as a deal since it's full suggested retail price, but it's still a great value if you've been meaning to try this game or are new to MMOs. Because it's cross-platform, you can play with Xbox 360 and PS2 owners, as well as playing your own characters freely between console and PC. I don't think you even need to purchase the game if you want to continue after your 30 day trial, but you apparently do need to buy the PC expansions and/or registration codes to play their console counterparts.

My local Kmart have tons Final Fantasy XI (XBOX 360) for $7. I wonder 30 days FRee work on XBOX 360 version or not ? If yeah, i'll pickup lots of these 30 days free to play FFX on XBOX 360 version.

The only way you get the 30 days is if you create a new account. It's not a 30 day time card.

This would be worth it if it had the expansions included; I'll stick to my 360 version for now (Haven't played it yet but I really want to, and won't start until I know I can put a good 2 months into it - 1 of those months being free.)

FFXI is really boring in my opinion. You have to grind A LOT to get anywhere. I suggest any newer MMORPG if it is your first MMO. But then again for $4/$2, I guess it is worth a try, someone might like it.

Wow, I may actually pick this up if I ever get near a gamestop soon. I would just like to see how many of my old friends still play from years ago. And hopefully I'll have a little fun and won't get suck in again. I hate you so much FFXI.
