Don't forget to pricematch to other store if Walmart ran out of stock. I'm gonna try at my local Best Buy with 10% off Reward Zone! ;)

Best Buy gave me crap yesterday when I tried to Price Match FF:RotSS because the Target across the street didn't have any in stock.
So I don't know about that. Hopefully, I can find a wal-mart around here that has the MI set.
I don't think that BB will let you use the 10% RZ bonus on PM's. I know mine definitely will not.
and here's a smiley for no reason :bouncy:

Why would they match a competitor's price when they are out of stock? It's not like you can go across the street and buy it there. Best Buy isn't loosing a sale to them.

What's the point of price matching then?

Its not to lose money on a product, if I'm following your logic properly.
Stores price match in the hopes you will buy other products that they won't have to offer on a loss. When Best Buy price matches Circuit City, they hope to hell you're walking out with extra merchandise to boost their daily sales numbers.
If you have no other option in the immediate area, why would Best Buy go out of their way to court you with a better price and take a loss when they don't have to? They know you either buy it from them, or do without.

I always thought they did it just to get the sale and take the sale away from their competitor. Frankly, when I go to price match, I only go into the store to price match said product, that's it. But maybe I'm a minority in this situation.
I did have an occasion where I PMed Pokemon Diamond at Best Buy because Circuit City didn't have it...and they didn't call to check CC or anything, they just PMed it for me and I was on my way.

Well over 50% of the time I can't get CC to "PM" their own sales from their own ads. They usually tell me it's a misprint. The first time it happened to me I just bought the other items I had in my hand, even though I had come in specifically for the sale and had picked the other things up while browsing (this is what stores want, for some reason CC denied me their own sale though). But now I only will walk into a CC in hopes of snagging loss leaders. I refuse to buy anything else, no matter what. In fact now that I think of it, the next time I go in for a super deal I know I won't get, I may just fill a cart up with random small crap from all over the store, let them ring it all up, ask for the sale they are guaranteed to deny me, then walk out and let them find the places where everything belongs.
I know it's no magazine rack and glitter routine, but it would be a small satisfaction...
