I was wondering what you guys thought were some of the worst horror movies of all time.

Try to include a pic, too.

Here's some of mine.

http://www.moviemaniacs.net/images/workshop/bmovie1/icecreamman.jpg

http://www.moviemaniacs.net/images/workshop/bmovie1/Killerklowns.jpg
In this one, the clowns put their victims in a strange cotton candy cocoon to keep them semi-alive until it was time to eat them. God, I don't know if this movie should actually be on the list or not, but it's definitely a B movie.

Okay, the first one was pretty good, but this is just insane. I've never felt more sorry for poor Warwick Davis. His career climaxed in the Willow and it's fallen sharply ever since.

Eventhough its a B movie, the ice cream man is kinda entertaining.

The taglines on those movies are hilarious.

"I scream
you scream
we all scream
for the ICE CREAM MAN"

Like that is going to spook anyone.

How about "The Stuff" That one was a dumb rip-off of the Blob.

Killer Klowns was the Bomb Diggity Schizznit. I was estatic when it came out on DVD.

And is it me or does there seem to be a slight Ice Cream theme going on?

Whadda bout the part in Killer Klowns when the clown puts his hand in the cop's back and makes him into a puppet. That's pretty damn funny!

Those look intentionally campy, but I didn't see 'em. Worst I saw (though many will disagree) was Blair Witch. I kept waiting for a scare; and my wife, who leaps at the smallest provocation, didn't even wince. What a snore!

I was tempted to pick-up Frogs at Wal-Mart because it was in their $5 dvd bin. It looked so bad I figured it would be worth the $5.

My vote would be Redneck Zombies.

Well, I'm going to have to dispute Jack Frost and Killer Klowns. Those are some B horror movie classics. In their place, I nominate the following.

Ceremony - I've blocked most of this movie out, it was so bad. I got it as a free screener when I ordered Evil Dead from a small video store somewhere in the midwest. I think they may have hated me. It's the only reason I can think that they sent me this horrible movie.

Demon Possessed - Of course, Ceremony pales before the badness that is Demon Posessed. Probably the lowest scoring movie from when a friend and I used to review horror movies. The cover tricked us...

http://www.thevideograveyard.com/boxes/demonpossess.jpg

There's nothing like the cover in the whole damn movie! So many horrible memories... Killer ceiling fan, cheesy snowmobile chase, ending theme song called "Game Show Blues" when there isn't even a game show in the movie... Damn you all! Why did you force me to remember this movie?!?!?!

Killer Tongue - On the totally cracked out end of the movie spectrum, we have this "gem". Melinda Clarke is possessed by a meteor when it falls in her soup. The soup also turns her 4 poodles into drag queens. Robert Englund is a creepy ass gay mexican prison warden. Something about Melinda's tongue becoming a sentient being. It was so bad... Please don't make me remember anymore....

The St. Francisville Experiment - Imagine Blair Witch, but on an even smaller budget and even more pointless... Don't waste your time.

That was sweet. I don't know what was funnier about that scene, the part that you talked about or the fact that the cop was Dean Wormer from Animal House !!

I'll disagree with you, but only on a technicallity. I saw it in a packed theater around midnight, and we were all pretty scared. I will grant you that it was most likely a group mentallity, and the fact that it was so late at night. In fact, I'll almost guarantee you that if I watched it now, I probably wouldn't be scared. Well, if I watched it alone, late at night, I might be a little freaked out. It's definetly a movie that relies on mood and your own setting when you watch it. Never liked camping anyway... :)

This does remind me of the MUCH worse sequel, Book of Shadows. I think if I had seen it in theaters, I'd have been really dissappointed. However, I saw it on DVD, with the "Secret of Esrever" thing. That made the movie a little more fun, just because we kept watching for all the hidden words and images... Still a pretty weak movie.

The worst movie I have ever seen hands down is a film called "Blood Sucking Freaks". It is absoluting disgusting!

There is one scene where they cut off the top of this girls head and this dude sticks a straw inside and sucks out all the brain juice.

Another disgusting movie I remember is called the "Gore-Gore Girls". It has a scene where there was some sword-swalling gone wrong.

I saw these a loooong time ago at a high school house party.

It was a feature that was added for the home video release, at least that was the impression I got. Like I said, I didn't see it in theaters, so if someone corrects me, so be it.

Anyway, it had to do with hidden words and images that would appear briefly during the movie. The best example I can remember is when they go to pick up the goth chick in the graveyard. She's sitting by a tombstone, and you see the name on it. Then the camera cuts away, and when it cuts back, the name has changed to something else (It's been a while, so I don't remember what it changed to.) Then the camera cuts away and back again, and the original name is back. Supposedly, if you find all the words, it's a secret message. Not that exciting, but it was kinda fun.

There's also hidden Blair Witch symbols around, like I think there's a shadow of one when they leave the graveyard in the same scene....

Uncle Sam, Ice Cream Man are classic B films.

And Jack Frost.. man that's an utter cult favorite, now Jack Frost 2 (when his babies attack, that one sucked) but the original.. definitely shouldn't be on the worst horror film list.

However, the Granny.. you have got to see it. When she cuts off the guys wang and waves in the air.. classic.

My dad use to rent the most horrible movies ever. I remember one particular one from about 10 years ago because it is probably the worst horror movie ever. It's called Track of the Moon Beast and if anybody ever has the chance to watch do yourself a favor and don't. It's not worth the agony you will cause your brain just to laugh at how bad it it. Stay away.

Actually it's "Seed of Chucky" or something retarded like that.

My vote for worst , and I know a lot may disagree with me is House of 1000 corpses. Just a pointless, boring, not even funny in a campy way movie. The only good thing was Rob zombie's GF, and the fact that it's nice Chris Hardwick is still getting work.

This list has already been made. It's called 'Mystery Science Theater 3000'.

You beat me to it. MST3K covers the list pretty well except for those movies that at least have the virtue of gore you can't put on basic cable.

This thread could easily turn into "What movies would have gotton onto MST3K if it were still in production?"

There was one called 'The Dragon Gate' that was easily the worst movie I ever saw in a theater, albeit at 2:00 AM. The original female lead apparently died halfway through production. Rather than reshoot her scenes with her replacement they instead bluescreened the new actress into the existing footing. This made for a very strange bedroom scene in which the two leads are never on screen simultaneously.

The fact that the Writer, Director, Producer, and lead character (the chubbiest kendo master you'll ever see) are all the same guy is a major warning sign but we endured for almost fifteen minutes before the entire audience, by unspoken mutual agreement, turned the theater into the Satellite of Love and commenced to shouting at the screen.

Some of the recent ones were bad. House Of 1000 Corpses was hardly scary, Jeepers Creepers 2 bored me and Dreamcatcher was an awful adaptation of a Stephen King book with awful dialogue.

The last horror movie I've seen that's actually delivered on the scares was Final Destination 2. It seems like most of the horror movies after that have been really flat.

And I didn't think House Of The Dead was that bad. It was definitley B-grade material, but the director admitted that, and that was kind of the fun about the movie.

I watched this movie with my girlfriend a long time ago. Not only does she cut the guys head off during sex, she sticks this old, rotting corpse's head (that she stole from a morgue) on his neck; this enables her to 'get off'. Just plain nasty as hell...

There is no way in Hell Blockbuster is going to have these movies. You're chances are better at those mom-n-pop video stores. I did see Bloodsucking Freaks on Amazon though:

The Killer Eye - one of my favorite cheesey horror movies.

You can get it off Amazon.com : http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000B1OCT/qid=1091100985/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-7720512-2707126?v=glance&s=dvd - sadly they have no picture.

Basically there's a giant eye that kills people. Inbetween killing it likes to go have sex with women using it's eye tentacle. It's really one of the worst movies ever made but is funny as hell.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000A2ZR1/qid=1091101058/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-7720512-2707126?v=glance&s=dvd - Jack Frost 2. I know someone mentioned the first Jack Frost but the second one was much worse. You have to see this movie to understand how awful it is. Little tiny mutant killer snowballs covered in fake red blood make me laugh every time.

There was also a movie called "Basket Case" where a guy had a twin brother who was really a mutated little head named Belial. Belial would go around killing people for some reason or another - it's been years since I've seen the movie. One image that sticks in my head is the guy sewing Belial back onto his side. It was pretty weird.
