Mobile games developer Capybara has revealed plans to bring its handset IP to Nintendo's Wii and DS formats.

Capybara has been responsible for original and licensed titles such as Happy Feet, Pillow Fight, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Cars and Critter Crunch. "Many of our mobile titles lend themselves to development on console platforms, and we see a lot of potential in up-scaling and expanding these properties," commented Tom Frencel, president of Capybara Games. "Our design team has been developing some great original concepts that have been on hold up until now, as we didn't feel that mobile was the appropriate platform for them. We're looking forward to seeing these concepts come to fruition," he said.

The company is already working on DS titles and is in talks with several publishers for licensed and original content.
