i doubt anyone would ever sell the piece for any price. it says your not allowed to sell pieces so even if this happen you wouldnt have a foot to stand on

since its against the rules in selling the piece i wonder if A never gives B any money if B has any grounds to stand on since by law they cant sell pieces

if you could sell them you be lucky to buy it for 800,000 bucks

If you pay $500,000 for the piece, then you might as well not play. You are never going to see that $1 million. The tax on the income is approximately 50% (at best 200 basis points lower). You will receive $500,000 after Uncle Shaft raids your bank account and takes its cut. Depending on the purchases someone makes with the prize money, additional taxes may be tacked on.

All of the following is hypothetical and is open for a good slamming:

Unless McDonald's has a way to track where each game piece was bought and sold, it would be easy to buy a piece to someone.

If my first statement is true, then the following actions could occur. The two parties enter the transaction under the table. Both parties agree to never disclose the details of their transaction (so McDonald's doesn't find out).

There are various ways to move part of the money to another party without paying taxes on it. Otherwise, the person you bought the piece from will be double-taxed (the original tax plus the tax on receiving $250,000 or whatever sum both parties agree to). I think it could be done. Unfortunately, nobody can shut the fuck up about such a transaction, so it would probably be a complete waste. Everyone would end up in jail or something equally stupid.
