Hey guys. im planning to price match their 2 GB Kingston microsd. what is their policy for website pricematching? im planning on using this site for it.
http://www.ca.buy.com/prod/Kingston_2GB_microSD_Card/q/loc/59205/204205094.html
however there is a slight diffrence on futureshop's micro sd
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10086072&catid=11433
The difference is that their manufacuture # is SDC/2GBCR as opposed to SDC/2GB from buy.com
so do you think i could get a PM from them?
also, does futureshop sell SD cards manufcatured in Japan or Taiwan? beause i baught a taiwan made sandisk card and it died after like 2 months =/

FS may throw the "They don't have a physical presence/store in Canada" crap at you. (can't remember if it was them or BB that does this) But AFAIK that isn't in their policy, so you should be able to get a PM.

If they do say that, what can i do to show that it isn't their policy?

Right on their site it says that this includes online offers, so yeah...

Part of their policy states Canadian retailers only.

this is a canadian store only as far as i know, it does belong here, especially if people are willing to help.
If they are smart, they will argue the numbers dont match up, of the SKU or whatever that noticable difference is.
Other than that, its clearly a canadian site so they can't argue towards that.
best of luck

I went to futureshop today...they wouldnt do it. They told me that need it would work only if they had a store =/ they told me they would sell it to me for $50 instead. didn't take it though. They didn't seem to care about the SKU though.
Is that right?
also, i can't really find where it says in their policy about online stores -_- so i could show them that they should be able to pricematch =/

Try NCIX or Dell. Both have stores (well Dell has kiosks, but same thing), and Dell has free shipping. They may reject NCIX based on shipping charges though.
Buy.ca is hard to do, same with Amazon. Serious YMMV though: if you get a nice cashier/manager you may succeed.
Either way, good luck.
EDIT: the CR designation stands for "Canadian Retailer" or something: just to differentiate it from the US models I think.

Technically those Dell kiosks don't sell you anything you can get right away: the CSRs there order it for you. But FS doesn't have to know that. ;)
