They did say that they generally get these on Thursday, which is interesting, as GR used to get stuff on Friday a lot. Didn't R&C just come out last week? So that means they get games normally released on Tues/Weds on the same Thurs. If so, that's pretty nice - I'll have to check for the Simpsons Game and Mass Effect (and then cancel or return my preordered EB copies).

Get friendly with your local stores and start calling the Gamerush locations wednesday & friday afternoons. Usually wed. is systems and fri. is games as far as video game material deliveries. It took me 2 wednesdays to find a Wii but I have 5 GR locations near me. Good Luck!

An ELITE would be nice, bbut then I would have the burden of selling my old system and all my GR credit would be gone :(

Then I'm going to EB tomorrow and using the Trade 2 360 games get $10 more deal to get enough for CoD4: LE for next Monday or Tuesday, if the $25 for Bioshock and $20 for RS:V hold up. Then I've got a handful of other Xbox and GC games lying around to be safe.

Thanks for the info. I talked to my GR today, and they said they are expecting two Wii's Wednesday. I traded a few games today for another $46 credit. So, I have like $175 credit. Depending on whether prices hold tomorrow, I may try to find a little more to trade in.

The strange thing, is that apparently I'm now on some sort of `list,' for people that trade in more than 5 games in a month (these were 6 and 7). The cashier couldn't say what it was, just gave me a warning about the list. The other weird thing is that everyone at this particular store kept going on about how terrible their trade-in prices were, and that FYE game much better credit, even though nobody had ever done a trade-in, or even knew any trade-in prices. Needless to say, they were very suprised when they saw how much the trade-in credit was for the games I had (especially The Darkness)!

Bioshock is now $44.99

Halo 3 is now $49.99

Bioshock seems to be a good deal, a full $10 less than the used price at EB/GS. Halo 3 is $5 less than EB/GS. Tons of copies of Bioshock (which is expected because it's single-player only). Only one copy of Halo 3.

I'm getting pretty annoyed with BB/GR behavior now. THEY implemented the trade-in policy, THEY set trade-in prices, but they make US feel like criminals for trading in games.

From now on, I'm going to shamelessly trade-in games and make all my local Blockbuster Videos take a bath on trade-in credit. They can enjoy having copies of Cabela's taking up shelf space and collecting dust while I enjoy brand new games at deep discounts.

OK. That's understandable. I'm using it -- along with The Darkness -- and some Kmart flips to get a Wii for about $150 out of pocket. Yeah, that's not quite as good as some of the pros around here can manage, but still a good deal to me.

Would have been nice if that B1G1 1/2 off coupon was still around for EB.

Blockbuster and GameRush are the same place basically....they give higher trade in values generally than GameStop/EB.

If anyone is asking about games could they check on Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 4 for the XBox (game only of course)? That's another $4.90 Kmart game that I saw in abundance. That is one of those games that could be anywhere from $2 to $28.50 at Blockbuster (though DDR 2 and 3 are listed in the wiki at $9.50 from June so that's encouraging - hopefully DDR 4 is more).

Depends on the person you get and how anal the store management is. Usually no instructions is fine, but most stores require the cover art. Our store requires cover art. Scratches are on a case by case basis. As long as it looks like it'll play, we'll take it.

Cool. Well than I dont think that Blockbuster will be 'anal' about it. The other one I called is in a town I dont really care for. So hey, hopefully everything will go smoothly for me tomorrow.

I am never trading at my local Blockbuster again. The manager there is a total dick. So itook in the games I took in yesterday, and they wouldnt let me trade in Fuzion frenzy 2 because I cut the bottom off since it said "Not for Resale" on it. No big deal there I guess..this is what got me though.they turned down 6 or 7 games, including Blitz because they said they were to scratched. But when he looked at Blitz to see if hed accept it, he looked unsure. Than he types it inm and notices itd give me $22 credit, so he turns it down. What an ass.

I ended up trading in Blitz and Fusion frenzy 2 at Gamestop for the +$10 deal. Got my $22.00 that way. :/

Yeah, the Blockbuster deals really wane when flipping from GameStop, especially if you don't use the Edge card. Unless there's a special going on, there's not a lot for you if you don't have a GameRush nearby (it's especially worse then). There's absolutely none in Iowa. Back in the old days of TRU & CC sales, it used to be 1/3 price games. TRU/CC used to clearance games for $9.98 or less that traded for up to $30. They usually coincided with the Trade 3 get $5 extra per game. I participated in 3 of these sales, i think i spent $600 and made around $1,600 credit.

I spent all the credit on DS Lites and sold them on ebay (some went as high for $180 for whatever reason, so it was a good choice for a credit -> cash item)

According to the EB coupon thread the Darkness dropped to $29.99 so it shouldn't it be $24.99 used now rather than $26.99 like when we all flipped it the first time. Website shows $27 still.. I stopped in a regular Blockbuster this morning, and there was a table set up with a Clearance sign. It looked to be almost all loose discs and older generation stuff, so I didn't look too hard. There wasn't anything indicating any percentage off or special price stickers, so I just assumed they were trying to make these shelf warmers more attractive.

Maybe there's more to it, though, based on your observation?

Also, this regular Blockbuster had Guitar Hero III bundles for 360 and PS2. The UPS truck was parked in front, so I'm guessing they were getting their shipment for this week's games. Just didn't have time to stick around, and I couldn't remember anything specific to check for.

Since trade in values change on Tuesday, and someone previously in the thread got a quote of $35 this past Tuesday, you should be good until Tuesday.

Just made the 5 minute round trip to my closest GR. Dumped the other Darkness/Blitz combo and grabbed :360: GH3 (game) and :ps3: Ratchet & Clank. They only had 1 more GH3 and no more R&C I figured i'd have trouble finding that since it's been out for a minute. They also got in 2 of the GH3 bundles for each system so it looks like 2 is the magic number at GR stores. Luckily they already sold both :360:s or I would have been tempted if that was wireless like the other 2 versions were...

I have found that it depends on the Blockbuster. At one of my local stores, all I have to do is basically ask them to order it for me. I think it is because the manager at the story is very nice and doesn't have a problem doing that.

Other stores I call just flat out tell me no.

Resistance PS3 only gets $30 now the wiki shows $33 from a couple weeks ago. Oh well I bought it from GS last week for $29.99(local 40% off sale). Since I get tax credit as well I got to play it for a week, beat it AND make a penny lol.

You should've seen the trouble i had to go through to trade in a game at one location. YMWV, all my local GR stores get the big releases at least 1-2 of each on fridays so you just gotta preorder to make sure you get one. Gamerushes should still be getting the "big" titles in for sale, and you can preorder, its just never taught to newbies how to do them or deliver the presale. If its a GR, there should be a "coming soon" board behind the counter; they typically get those games in for sure. Just a normal BB will have about jacksquat. Also, if a title is coming out soon, you can ask them to look it up and see how many new copies they have on order.

Each store requires you to sign up for the trade program because stores in different cities have different trading regulations (pawn shop regulations). Therefore, there is no one rule that is good for all stores, so everything is done individually. Besides... all it requires is that you show your ID and sign a form. Sheesh!

Ya, the form isnt hard to fill-out, but the 2nd blockbuster I went to couldnt find the trade-in form for a few minutes and then didnt know how to do a trade-in. They had to call someone. It was a Gamerush Blockbuster too.

Just a flipping heads up: 2 Targets near me have started a major clearance this week. I don't think it's YMMV as someone else reported some of these titles in the Target thread too. They started at 30% off, but included some 360 games that should be flippable when they hit bigger discounts:

Nope. If you have a credit card on file, it'll be billed to the credit card on file. If not, then it'll go to collections after 80 days. I'd just go back in and tell them they had trouble using your giftcard and that you wanted them to try it again now that moron isn't working.

The value cards only work in store. According to store policy, you cant use value cards/account credit to purchase gift cards, but if you find someone who really doesnt care, they'll sell you the real gift cards that you are able to use online.

If you'd rather move your credit into cash, buy a Wii or DS Lite. I just sold my used Wii w/ component cable & controller charger for $310. I'd imagine a new one would sell pretty nicely, especially with christmas around the corner.

I'm back up to $300 credit, but i figure I might as well milk it up just in case there arent any more decent flips for a while. Two more locations have all 4 games above in stock. I'm gonna head back tomorrow to get some more fodder.

Anyone know what Untold Legends for PS3 trades for? I bought a copy for myself for $11, but i figure if it trades decent, i'll trade it as well.


Did youi trade these in on Tuesday(11-6).?I want to make sure the trade in prices are still holding for these games before I buy any more games.

You could always trade at a Blockbuster; they give you the same amount and you can just put it on a value card.

The value cards only work in store. According to store policy, you cant use value cards/account credit to purchase gift cards, but if you find someone who really doesnt care, they'll sell you the real gift cards that you are able to use online.

If you'd rather move your credit into cash, buy a Wii or DS Lite. I just sold my used Wii w/ component cable & controller charger for $310. I'd imagine a new one would sell pretty nicely, especially with christmas around the corner.

BUT... regular BB's are going to get the Rock Band special edition. You should be able to reserve that next week from what I hear.

He used all his credit and bought his local GR. Now he's trading that stores inventory in at another GR....:lol:

I've got everything covered for the rest of the year besides Rock Band now. I'm gonna go today and tomorrow before the GS coupon dies and buy several more double up credit games(besides Darkness). $90 for Rock Band I can handle plus set aside a little credit for early next year or something.

Finally got my Wii at GR today using the credit I've been accumulating. But damn, I'd love to jump on some more of these flips to get some games for it...and Rock Band for the 360. Money to buy the flips, however, is still an issue even when you're doubling it.
