I haven't had any problems. Maybe you should try SpySweeper or something then.

I have found adaware to have less false positives. But both are great.

i have both...but sometimes when i run spybot, spybot says something about adaware and how spybot may be seen as spyware by ad aware or something to that effect

I run them both regularly. Update them often, and make sure you're using the current version of each [I think AA updated program files a while back and isn't updating its definitions for the old version.].
No problems.
Are you having specific problems, if so, what?

I prefer Adaware over Spybot, but Spybot's immunization tool is pretty good. I have heard a lot of horror stories using Spybot, for instance it can sometimes mess up and find a nonharmful program and deletes them. I have also heard that when it deletes a program it is like you are nuking your own computer. Adaware seems to be more mellow, but gets the job done. Other good alternatives are Spysweeper, but you have to pay for that one.

I use them in conjuction with each other. You can never be too protected. Spysweeper, many times finds different itmes than adaware. The only bad thing about spysweeper is that there new version 3.0 sucks. Everytime, i try to update mine, it won't allow me to get updated definitions. Anybody else have this problem?

^^^ You need to make sure you check the list of stuff it wants to delete before you delete it.

run them both, they will tell you they have a conflict with eachother, but ignore that.

Spybot is the better choice. I ran both concurrently for a long time and found that while Spybot would find things Adaware missed, the vice versa was never true. Spybot also comes with free innoculation, which save alot of trouble.

yeah I've been using adware for awhile and just recently got Spybot, I really like Spybot. I think both are good programs.

PestPatrol scans things that AdAware and SpyBot skip over (like the registry, which is where most stuff hides).

Both, and sometimes I also use Bazooka.

Yeah, PestPatrol is great. I use all three along with a firewall and usually I only have 1 or 2 things picked up by Adaware a month.
