So, in case folks didn't hear this a while back when it was posted everywhere (included on digg etc), you can download the Guitar Hero 3 demo image file from the net and burn it. You can play 5 songs on all the difficulties and a couple of modes (single, face off, battle). You don't need a modded 360 or anything and you can burn on a dvd or cdr.
