anyway sounds good, i remember they used to do retarded promotions during the homerun derby...that if a player hit a taco bell sign theyd give free tacos. but the sign was always 500 feet away.

BTW, on my last visit to my local Taco Bell, they were giving out coupons (the first time I have ever seen this). They are for a free medium drink with purchase of taquitos, free bean burrito with any purchase, and a free crunchy beef taco with any purchase. I don't know if this is a YMMV or what.

Never heard of Taco Johns, but that doesn't sound too appealing, at least to me. It's probably amazing though, stuff that doesn't sound like I'd like it, I end up loving it.

I'm not going out of my way for this promotion. If I happen to be out that day and there is a Taco Bell nearby, then I might think about it. I better bring some pepto bismo and a barf bag for after.

I used to be able to eat the beef. It always made me ill. I slowly started eating steak. After a while, the steak started making me sick. Now, I almost exclusively eat chicken.

Something about the "beef" they use makes me feel more nauseated than the chicken. Taco Bell in general makes me nauseous. I only eat there when I feel I've been spending too much money eating out and need something quick.

The rules stated (1) free taco would be given away to everyone in America on Oct. 30th if a base was stolen in Games 1 or 2.

It went on to state that if a base was also stolen in games 3-7 you could get a free taco on Nov. 6th

honestly, they arnt making money this way either, i think they are just trying to fix their rep after the whole e coli incident.

Too bad the only Taco Bell left around here is up by the mall, out of my way when I go to work. I could make a detour, since I have been been hankering for Taco Bell lately.

And as far as the promotion goes, it is to get people in the door, regardless of what you may think. It goes the same as the McDonald's Monopoly free food pieces. Sure, you're gonna get your free item, but I bet you'll also order a drink and maybe a second taco, or a chalupa. One free taco is a drop in the bucket, and a deal for them if it will get you in the door to buy more food.

My point... I normally don't eat fast food, but had stopped several times on my way to work. I had 'won' 2 winning game pieces for free breakfast sandwiches. I decided that my wife, daughter and myself would go to McDonald's for breakfast one morning. Even with our free sandwiches, after drinks and sides and whatnot, it was still almost $10. The sandwiches probably cost them $.50, now take into account the millions of others that have done the same as us, people that normally don't eat fast food.. Do the math.

While you may be thinking you're getting a killer deal, it's a major profit booster for companies. Overall, it's far cheaper than running ad-campaign blitzes.
