Because it sold like ass but should be easy enough to port over to the Wii to get a few more $$ out of the IP.
I would welcome a port though as it is a great game. Stranger's Wrath would be a decent Wii port also.

I think it means more that they are going to add Psychonauts information to their new website, not that a new one is coming. They didn't have the Projects section open until Brütal Legend was announced.

Strangers Wrath was such a great game. I would buy that port in a heartbeat.

The game only sold about 90k copies when sales were last reported. Why would they be making a sequel to a game that sold terribly? Who would publish this one anyway?

I would pick it up for wii as well.
I have not ever played it and want to see what all the fuss was about, but its not worth picking up a OGbox for at this time.

Yeah, definitely don't see this being a new Psychonauts... the picture looks like it's the same characters, don't see anyone new in there.
I'm also guessing a Wii port- as already stated, this game bombed hardcore with only 90K sold.
I have to agree that it doesn't seem to imply a new, or even ported, Psychonauts game.
Don't get excited, guys.

Two project PAGES: one for Brütal Legend, an upcomming game, and a not-yet-finished PRODUCT PAGE for Psychonauts, an old game that nobody played and that will most likely never get a sequel or a port or anything ever.
If they release a port for the Wii they better fix the Meat Circus level. That was way too hard.
I just finished this game and I really dug it. The meat circus level seemed like a pain in the ass the first day I got to it, after already playing the game for awhile. I came in fresh on the next day and breezed through it. I'd be up for a sequel but it seems unlikely. It's a shame because Pyschonauts had a lot of imagination. I am looking forward to Brutal Legend.

Wow, this is out of control, and best of all - it's obvious to any Double Fine fan that there is NOTHING Psychonauts related coming.
To summarize:
They are going to show you a pretty page for Psychonauts, preferably with some awesome concept art.

Futhermore, the game is officially SOLD OUT - there are no more copies apart from what Double Fine have in stock (and what's around in the stores).
I urge you to land on Earth sometime soon. DF is all about Brütal Legend at the moment, so I don't understand why you would want to tease yourself ever so rudely.

Excited about Burtal Legend though.

I'm just waiting to see, uh, what the DIALOG looks like...
The environments look nice in the GI magazine, though it's certain they're not showing too much of it for whatever reason. DF have a little over a year to make it all BLING, though.

Plenty of games that were ass or sold like ass have gotten sequels.
