The 40GB model has a ton of cutbacks. It does not have backwards compatibility with PS2 games at all and has only 2 USB ports.

You can get the 60GB model which has FULL backwards compatibily, wifi, card readers and 4 USB slots for $449.99 at Best Buy.

A 'ton'?

It lacks backwards compatibility, memory card reader and 2 USB ports. Big deal.

If you don't have a PS2 then you won't miss BC. It is a nice feature for retro gaming but must people do not revisit old games.

Given the PS3's current library, and the shit-ton of games on PS2, I think it would be likely for someone to revisit classics.

I had an xbox last gen, so I bought a ps3 (instead of 360) so I could play games I missed out on this gen. I don't know how many people share this incentive though, I think as a salesman, it would easy to pitch BC to a parent. Just show them the PS2 bargain bin...

This is a nice find in that we are getting the same price as the US.
