ROFLMAO: BAFTA Video Game Award Winners

Not really news worthy, but this list of "award winners (http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=9258&sid=9126c8492f7daef81308483cc61e3f5e&title=BAFTA+Award+winners+announced)" gave me a chuckle:

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts hosted it's annual video game awards ceremony last night in London's Battersea Park. While you and I were counting z's, attendees were being entertained by the comedy of Vic Reeves and the music of Athlete and Remy Nicole. Nintendo arguably had the best show of all, with Wii Sports picking up a mighty six out of thirteen awards. It was not awarded Game of the Year, however, with that honour going to the much loved BioShock. Crackdown, Okami and God of War II each picked up two awards. The list of nominees also contains some rather baffling inclusions and exclusions - including games that aren't exactly out yet.

Yes, Crackdown is a good game, However there is nothing in that game that screams Adventure, it's purely Action, now if they combine Action, and Adventure and Action & Adventure games into one category, than you can make that argument. But No way in hell Crackdown is better than God of War 2, TP, or the Orange Box.

I loved the game, but Crackdown also doesn't scream "Best use of Audio." I can't even begin to imagine what this means... Was it award-winning for its lack of music or something? The little whir agility orbs make when you're near them? What?

Then again, I never made it all the way through GoW2 since it felt like I was playing GoW1. Meh.
Yeah, I love GOW1 and played about 2 hours of GOW2 for this reason. Same reason why I quickly tired of Metroid Prime 2. If I wanted to play the same game again, I'd play the same game.

Crackdown beating out Zelda Twilight Princess? I don't give a rat's that Zelda didn't win but man, there were a couple better options than crackdown.

Eh, I think Wii Sports is a pretty worthy recipient of sports game of the year.

That Ragnarawk game looks like it could be pretty cool.
