Should be worthwhile for a lot of people. I hoped to get during the big BB blowout months back but they all sold out pretty quickly. I took this as an endorsement to the game's worth.

You thought Starcraft was "pretty simple"? It's has more depth than almost any other RTS I've ever played. You must have just played Big Game Hunters against newbs all the time.

Starcraft is not as deep as some of the more "hardcore" RTS games. Hell, even Age of Empires is much deeper than Starcraft.. however, I wouldn't call it simple either.
