View Full Version : Question about-well, look inside, it's easier than explaining here

Hey guys, hope I'm not posting somewhere I'm not supposed to. I have a question, but before I get into that...

My friends and I are going to hold a charity video game tournament in December. The video games will be In the Groove 2 and Pump It Up: Pro and the event will be held at Chris Cotty's legendary arcade, 8 on the Break. The charity itself is named Arrows for Kids, and it's the first time we're doing something like this. The purpose of the charity is to gather the prominent and very active rythym community around the New York City, tri-state area, to play the popular dancing games, with the proceeds going to a charity of our choosing. Said charity will likely be St. Jude's Children's Hospital, in Edison NJ.

Now, in order to maximize the amount of money we could donate to St. Jude's, we were looking for prizes and sponsors. I've already emailed Red Octane, maker of Guitar Hero and, originally, dance pads. I'm awaiting their response and am hoping that I can get some help from either Gamestop or Gamecrazy.

Having said all of that, I can now ask my question. Basically, I was wondering if there was a certain area of the site in which I could post and ask for donations, or for ideas for sponsors, and such. Any help and input would be appreciated, seeing as how, although the Break is not new to tournaments, I, as coordinator, am new to charity tournaments and the such.

Thanks once more for the input.

P.S. Before someone asks why the tournaments are only restricted to those two rythym games, the Break is famous for its big Bemani concetration, and even moreso, for having created In The Groove, and vicariously, PIU:Pro.
