View Full Version : Obivion GOTY (360) used - $17.99 misprice @ La Puente mall EB/GS

I saw it yesterday at a mall I never go too. GOTY edition for 17.99. I didnt have any money with me but do you think it was a mistake? It shouldnt be that cheap on EB game's site they list it as higher for being used. i think its 55.00 or something.

Its happened before. Saw GTA,it was a really good deal then those assholes at GB said it was a mistake on their part. Should have honored it since they're the one's that messed up.

I might go back today to see if its still there.17.99 for 3 games? way to good to pass up.

im guessing this is for the 360 version since OP did put the 360 logo in there. if only we knew what store.......

Maybe the people who worked there didn't know how much it was really worth. It wasnt the guide either I saw it on the game box. Those ugly little yellow stickers they put on it.

Nope it was this one. I didnt know this would happen. People trying to discredit me but yeah, I know what I saw. Its all good tho.Just a rare opporutunity I missed.

Not a discredit, but two distinct possibilities.

1) Eb Games (and Gamestop too since they own them) have the same prices in all stores nationwide. There are no manager specials without specific approval and very rarely do you even see regional deals.

2) The other thing that jumps out is being mislabeled. This could happen two ways. Either an employee took the game in under the wrong SKU and screwed someone out of what is likely $20....or they needed a new label printed out for whatever reason and an employee printed the wrong one.

Either way, you would be hard pressed to get any employee with common sense to just sell the game at that price. You would probably have to argue your case of the label. But I've seen kids try and peel and switch labels before. So it's very YMMV. I'd say go back for it. I'll paypal you $28 shipped. :)
