Terk brand is what I use: $20 for the TV4 model @ Fry's. If you can't find that model, you probably won't go wrong with one of their others.

I second Terk, they're pretty good. I personally have this one: http://www.target.com/Terrestrial-Digital-Multi-Direction-Antenna/dp/B000EHYG9K/sr=1-1/qid=1193618048/ref=sr_1_1/601-9556118-5084164?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aantenna&page=1
and it picks up quite a few stations.

Those are indoor antenna's? Holy smokes they are HUGE!!! I bought an RCA one from Joblots for $5 bucks. Its tiny obviously, and only picks up my NBC in my area on a constantly good basis. On a good weather day I can get a small signal from CBS ABC and FOX, but those are few and far between.
Do you guys have the area range for these things? Also, how exactly do you have it set up, on the wall or just standing up next to your TV's? Curious in buying a better one, but I want one that will work better then what I have, but do not want to mount one to the outside of my house.
Looking forward to hearing some responses.
PS: I tried those Phillip's ones that they sell at Walmart from a price range of $20-50 bucks, but they worked crappier then my cheap $5 dollar one. Although I think the $50 one that I tried (it was power amplified too) had something wrong with it when I bought it (it was already open, but it was the only one they had so I figured I would return it if it didnt work, which I did) because it would list all the stations in my area, but the signals would go from 75%-100% down to like 1% every 2-3 seconds, and the thing got extremely hot. So, I don't know, try at your own risk on that one!

Honestly, it comes down to trial and error.
I spoke with several techs at my local stations and the common advice was to find a store with a good return policy.
Most people make the mistake of buying one with a lot of gain and it ends up enhancing a bad signal. Start small and work up from there.
Spend the $30 on a $10 antennae and a $20 antennae and go from there.
It took me 4 trips to find the right one for me and it ended up being the least expensive on the shelf at Best Buy.

Pretty much the same with me on that one Obiwayne. Although im not to sure if im just outside the effective range for a good indoor antenna anywho.
HDTV for Fox and CBS broadcast out of Hartford CT, and NBC and ABC Broadcast out of Chicopee MA. I live in the Springfield MA area, so NBC comes in perfectly fine, but ABC is weird at times, and usually wont come in. Now Hartford is quite a little distance from Springfield, so Im thinking my only option could be an outdoor antenna. To be honest though, I don't feel like risking the time and effort to install one on my roof, only for it to not work. Or only work in good weather conditions.
I refuse to sign up for the Comcast HD when theres a way to get it for free!
