Who can beat Goku???

I used to like Dragon Ball and DBZ, until after the Freeza saga, but that's a diffrent story.

Anyways me and some friends were really bored one day and were thinking who could beat Goku? He's pretty much the strongest character ever. Please, is there anyone stronger? There must be.

I have always thought that vegeta is the most powerful if it wasn't for his character flaw he would have killed cell. Since he is so pompus he allows his enemys the chance to power themselves up to a greater level rather then eliminating them when he wins round 1. Outside of DBZ Goku is up there with Galactus and The Beyonder in power. If the story was in a DBZ world he can't lose he gets beat nearly to death then finds some insane new ability and wrecks all.

Gohan was supposed to be stronger than Goku ever could be after getting his Mystic Power Up from the Elder Kai during the Buu Saga.

Of course, Dragonball GT came along and made Gohan a wimp as well Base Kid Goku making fools of both Frieza and Cell. The Buu's got shafted as well in the power department.

Goku's gona against many enemies, that if he didn't barrow energy from others, they would've destroyed him. Also, the descendants (i.e. Trunks & Gohan) were actually stronger in DBZ, but GT ruined all that.

Considering GT is crap made up to milk the franchise after the original creator called it a day I just ignore it, with that said Gohan could do it. In just a year of training during the Cell Saga he matched his father's power level, so assuming he gets off his lazy pacifist ass he could wipe the floor with just about anyone.

I read all the posts and to be honest only a few made sense. Onsluaght would be one of them, but you have to take into consideration Goku never freakin dies. And evrytime he does he gets brought back to life some how. I mean you gotta be really strong for a god to say "Well I'll die so that you can have my life and live and save the universe." Besides when he is beaten, he'll just get stronger and find some technique that can beat who ever. Ultimatly the onlything I know of that can beat Goku is good writing.

By the way, I really hate DBZ for this reason.

After GT, he is just too strong, because of SS4 which the unpure saiyans are unable to do. The Hybrids get strong quick, but have the fallback of not being able to get as strong as Veg and Goku.

To answer the question though, if the fight against goku takes place in his world than nobody would lose because he lives in a world of no-consequences. If you die, you can come back to life. Got no strength? Use a sensu bean (i think i misspelled that). Not powerful enough? Take it to the next level. Life just seems a little too easy in the world of DBZ.
