Budget is about $1,400 (or a bit more). I have heard great things about Sony HDTVs (from the guys on the 1up.com podcasts). What do you reccomend for watching hd dvds, hd and sd television and video games?

my uncle has a 50" sony lcd and it looks sick, but its 2-3 years old by now.
i would say sony is really good, but usually more expensive for some reason. dunno if the quality is any better...
I have a HDTV I'm trying to sell if you're interested...
