There are a whole bunch of different colored off brand silicone covers for the wii remote and nunchuck at my local 99 cent store. There are also some for the ipod nano, and mini ipod. I'm not sure of the quality but seemed pretty good. YMMV.
edited to add: This is in California near Santa Barbara.

a quick search of 805 reveals:
Area code 805 includes most or all of the California counties of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura, plus southernmost portions of Monterey County, and a small portion of Los Angeles County.

have the same ones here too at the 99cents only store in las vegas, i thought it was pretty cool too
