You are asking people if you should buy a game that is due out in a month in a half? You do realize that very few people, if any on this board, have played this game, and most responses you get will be strictly opinion. That's like asking if I should buy a PS3 because I hear it's coming out 2 years from now. Geez.

Yeah, just wait for some reviews, the game isn't comming out for over a month, and I doubt there will be a shortage of them when it does ship.

A year ago i would of asked u if you were crazy for not getting it but lately fable has been less than impressive. they basically removed the whole point of the game (the leveling up happens behind the scenes). Now i suggest waiting for a review.

I would say so. Peter Molyneux has never made a bad game as far as I know, and if you're down with this whole new 'emergent gameplay' fad, this is where it's starting.

Peter Molyneux is a guy who takes chances. Even if this game Fable sucks, you have to give him credit for trying out some new things.

It will probably be a buy. And I hope it will be the best RPG.

I would say this, Halo 2 and KOTOR 2 are the three games I have a hard time resisting to pre-order, because I know they will be full price for atleast a good year, and all should score decently. Hype alone has made me think of pre-ordering Fable. If Fable fails to score/do well ALOT of people are going to be dissapointed.

I have my fingers crossed that Fable will be good. If it gets good reviews I will pick up a copy.

I'd say definately wait for reviews on Fable. Molyneux has a habit of promising a lot more than he delivers. He's already gone back on a few promises for Fable and the game isn't even out yet. Still worth keeping an eye on but definately wait for the reviewers to hash it over before buying a copy.

I think Halo 2 is pretty safe as a preorder. The possibility of it sucking is almost nil. KOTOR 2 may be reduced in the typical six to nine months span, since it will face direct competition from Fable and Lord of the Rings the Third Age, as well as strong indirect competition from the many other big games coming this winter (Halo 2, GTA SA, etc.). Plus, from what I've read of the previews, it sounds like a low priority sequel, as the basic gameplay and graphics are staying the same, which will hurt both reviews and sales. Look at Balder's Gate DA 2.

I pre-ordered Fable myself, but that's just because I constantly play RPG's and even if they suck I always seem to like them, (unless it's FFX, that was the worst game ever made, not even Nintendo could do shittier).

I enjoyed Black and White. I mean, it wasn't fantastic but it was enjoyable, and had loads of replay value.

Yes, I'm sure Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/driving/bigrigsotrr/review.html) was better than FFX.

Grow up. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean that it's the worst thing ever.

Well, when this was first announced it looked great, but its become more disapointing through the years when features have been taken out during development. Thats why Ive decided not to preorder Fable, and wait for the reviews to see if its worth a purchase. Im also hoping your wrong that its going to be mediocre.

I remember reading about Fable before the XBox even came out, and it was definitely an influence. However, I am scared now that they're trying to do so much stuff that none of it will turn out well. I hope I'm wrong, because I'd love a good RPG right now. But I guess if Fable doesn't meet my standards, maybe Star Ocean 3 will.
