I was just wondering how much they offer? If they dont offer that much who would offer the most for trade in?

my experience (in Canada anyways). Is that Blockbuster gives an INSANE ammount of money compared to EB Games. For example I could trade in a copy of Pirates of the Caribbean for the 360 and get $30 credit for it.

Why don't you check the CAGWiki under GameRush?

I'm pretty sure Kameo and PDZ you're better off trading at GS with the extra $10 for 2 360 games.

I would have to say it all depends on the demand and supply of the game that your trading, if they even take in trade-ins, and my thing that keeps me from trading in at BB is the prices on used games, conditions, and selections...

my BB stores are pretty much rental and disc only used games for sale if you have bigger better ones with new and used go for it.

Just beware with the EB trade in promo the value needs to be higher than a dollar for it to work and I would not be suprised if they altered trade in values for this promo unless they want to bulk up on used stuff for the everyone knows is comming B2 get 1 sale for black friday.

I'm pretty sure I'm right on this, since I just traded these games in (expect $19.XX in credit for the pair, vs. $11 or so at BB), and your useless "supply and demand" response indicates that you don't really have any idea what you're talking about.

The only thing that is netting a dollar or less is the old ass annual sports games(Madden, College Hoops) from the past 2 years & Burger King games.

So the games he listed would get the extra $10.

alright wow this went a few posts and turned into an arguement so here you go smartass how do you explain then different trade in quotes at stores like EBgames/Gamestop when I have had an emplyee tell me that the value is so low on a trade due to the fact they have a ton of them used even though it is still new at lets say $40.

I do not know what the hell people's issues are on this site and why you people make it a point to be dicks????

Explain that

I wouldn't worry about it. I would also suggest calling a store near you (if there is one) and simply asking instead of wasting your time driving over there with a handful of games. That's what I always do (the former).

when I ask them the price they tell me that there not allowed to over the phone and they tell me I will have to come in. (at least thats what GameStop said)

That's what Gamestop ALWAYS does or at least the ones around here do. They figure that if you are forced to come in and bring in the movies/games, that you will say 'f it I brought them this far I might as well trade them' and take whatever they give you for them.

Oh how I miss www.tradestop.com (http://www.tradestop.com) , which used to be Gamestops trade value lookup site. It saved me MANY trips to their stores to get lowballed.

Case in point, last night, I went to our local mall to trade in some dvds(some older, some newer). I went to Gamestop first, to see what their values would be and unsurprisingly, they offered me $19.05 for 10-11 movies.

I went to FYE, who had taken in a massive amount of dvds/games that day and was referred to Suncoast( which also takes trades and is part of the same company as FYE). I received(with $6 and change in 25% extra bonus) about $35 for those same movies.

It's all about finding the best value for your stuff, which is why if the OP wants to they can check secondspin.com for trade values on those games and tack on 25% for taking credit if they trade them @ FYE or Coconuts or any of the other Transworld stores which take games.

Of course, those prices may be less if they have buttloads of those games already, but they've been pretty spot on for me.

As for Blockbuster, I've traded only a couple games there in the past, one being Galleon for Xbox. I received $17-19 for it, after paying $5-7. So, if for nothing, like FYE and Transworld, they are a better place to trade your games.

Well I ended up going to Gamestop cause the trade 2 360 games in get a extra $10. The best part is I bought the games at Kmarts clearance sale and paid a little over $30 for all of them. I got $61.90 in store credit so I got double my money!!

thats not to bad im was thinking of taking in this Pokemon Battle Revolution (wii) I found for $6.99 to EB/GS because they said $16.00 in credit then I called Gamecrazy and they said $23.50 so right now If I do trade it will be GC but im waiting to see if someone snags it off Craigslist

Probably less than selling on CAG, and you'd be feeding the coffers of an evil company that has hammered the artistic expression of filmmakers everywhere, instead of helping out a fellow CAG.

With all of the people leaning towards SD/FW type behavior anymore, I think this site needs to be renamed FlippingGamesForProfitAssGamer. Mind you, I'm no better at times, but I don't go all out, anymore. Not like I did when I was hoarding copies of the Clancy Triple Pack anyway. :-#

So yes or no since most of you failed to answer the question. Do you get more money at Blockbuster for trading in games over Gamestop?

What do YOU think, with all of the hatred toward Gamestop on this site, who gives more? Simple answer is, YES Blockbuster/GR typically offers more for trades than GS ever could or would.

But many times FYE and other Transworld chain stores that take trade ins offer more than BB/GR, though their prices stay higher for longer usually.
