You ganked that picture off the news. They've already done a study on it and decided it was a dog with mange. Unless that was you I saw interviewed on the news, quit taking credit for someone else's story.

Dude, TC never said that they took those pictures or that this was "their" story. They only said that this is happening near where they live. Chill.

hyenas on the lose,

AAAHHHHHHH, wait, i don't leave near Trustcompany

let's point and laugh.

how is it that no one has even suggested hyenas to these people who think it's a monster/beast.

Ikohn4ever

Hyennas dont have tails I believe, if my memory serves me right. An interestin fact about hyennas is that all female have a penis, they are non functional but they have em. This is because they have so much damn testosterone, its a side effect of that.

Because hyenas don't make good news stories, that's why. And yes, hyena's have tails, they're normally not rat-tails like that thing in the picture, but they have tails that look much like a golden retriever's tail.

I saw that creature near my home in DE several years ago. I doubt it's the exact same animal, but I've seen it before.

One day I was sitting at my PC next to a window that looks on a nature corridoor. We get deer and all types of other animals pass through it. We've even had bobcat pawprints on our deck after a snowfall. We're just up against the White Clay Creek State Park.

One day I'm sitting there and this dog like animal walks across the path. Then saunters into the woods. Had a bushish tale. Size of a Coyote. It was odd because it was missing a lot of it's fur. Falling out in patches. It was also slightly emaciated. It moved without problem.

I told my dad about it and he frankly thought I was full of shit. A week passed and I hadn't seen it again. But my dad comes homes one day and tells me he's seen the thing. As he was pulling into the drive way it was walking across towards the corridor. He said it had a dead squirrel in its jaws by the head.

We never saw it again. I had never seen anything like it. But after doing a little research I came to the conclusion that it was a Red Wold that was missing several patches of fur. I was watching the discovery channel one night and they were talking about the red wolves in the south. I saw one and it just seemed to fit in with my picture of what I saw.

http://www.wolf-information.com/1e440780.jpg

Here's a picture for comparison, but slightly from behind.

http://images.ibsys.com/2004/0730/3596202.jpg

Imagine this animal but missing a large majority of it's fur. It would look a lot like that animal in the image. I saw basically this animal, but 50% of it's fur was missing. That animal looks like it's missing 90% of it's fur.

...obviously hyenas

btantra
07-31-2004, 01:32 PM
No, Hyena doesn't have a long snout like that. Besides, Hyena would have had some fur.

I don't know what this animal is, I bet it is one of those Aliens from other planets keep sending their animals to dominate earth's animals... then they will come for us human! aaaahhhh...

KrazyKefka

I remember reading about it a couple of weeks ago. People were calling it a hyote, considering it kinda resembles a hyena and a coyote. Maybe some wacky cross-breeding mishap?

I remember an X-Files episode or two dealing with the El Chupacabra, so at least a few people have heard about it.

I mean it could be a lot of things, once the hair is off an animal it can look a lot different. For instance look at this black bear without hair.

looks like huge rat and pretty pathetic.

lmao, that looks like a damn anteater or something...i dunno

anyway, the thing they caught wasn't the one that the pictures are of...they're saying that its probably the son or something, but its a fox with mange...doesnt look like a fox to me....maybe a hybrid fox, but what do i know? i thought a bear looked like an anteater lol

Admiral Ackbar

I was thinking it was too big to be a red fox. Hence the red wolf. They're bigger than a fox but smaller than a wolf. In the middle of the two.

That must be a large fox then. I find it funny it could find a mate with all that fur missing!

Well, there's no real way to sense scale on the pictures I've seen. There aren't any really good markers...

I know that the animal I saw years ago stood as tall as my hip. And I'm 6'4". So it must have been 60-70 lbs and 3-4' tall.

The second one looks like a wild boar. The first one looks like some sort of monkey... maybe an exotic pet that got loose?

Well that is sad it's a red fox that is losing it's hair from some disease. Hopefully they can make it healthy and release it into the wild.

Cracka
08-04-2004, 09:44 AM
or maybe we can give it even more diseases and release it into North Korea
