It appears Pierce Brosnan is no longer going to be playing Bond and apparently he is most likely going to be replaced by Eric Bana.

"youthful, suave and modern hero" (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1503&ncid=1503&e=3&u=/afp/afplifestyle_britain)

I got's no opinion on this since I never really watch Bond movies.

I like Eric Bana. Should be fun.

Wasn't there some conflict with him becoming Bond because he's already contractually obligated for future Hulk movies?

Doesn't really bother me. After all, I'm not usually looking at Bond: I'm looking at the girl he has to save. ;)

"The beefy 35-year-old had beaten off competition..."

OK, whats funny about that sentence?

I don't really like him that much because i thought he was horrible in the Hulk and most of his other movies other than Troy.

Eric Bana sucks. The Hulk was one of the shittiest movies I've ever seen and he only made it worse.

:applause: Nice work on the Hulk effect there, guardian_owl!

As for Bana... eh. I've been pissed at the Bond franchise ever since they killed off Robbie Coltrane's character in TWINE for no good reason. That movie sucked.... I didn't even bother to see Die Another Day. (Of course, it doesn't help that I hate Halle Berry.)

Doesn't really matter, IMO they should bring back Connery and it could be James Bond: Geriatric-oh-7

I like Eric Bana. I think though the Bond Franchise has been driven to the ground.

The last one with Halle Berry was way too fantastic (when I say fantastic, I mean "so far removed from reality"). The best spy movies right now are the Bourne Supremecy films and the last Bond films seem stale in comparision.

Keep making the video games, stop with the movies.

I thought he did a pretty good job in Troy and Black Hawk Down, but I don't think he would fit the Bond role...

I really wish they kept Brosnan for one last movie. :(

bana's obligated to do future hulk movies? umm...i must have seen a different movie because the one i saw killed the hulk franchise with a big ass box office bomb and the plot was mutilated by a special effects extravaganza (what the hell was up with nolte and that whole fight crap at the end? it's like they said "hey...we have $1 million more to blow on cgi effects...want to make a bad movie worse by dragging it out?")

There's been talk about Hulk 2 - with a new director. This sequel will have more Hulk Smash which is good.

Remember, Star Trek 1 was a complete special fx bore (just like Hulk) but Star Trek 2-Wrath of Khan came out and things improved.

i have no faith after the first one...it is rare that comic book movie sequels are ever as good as the first...even more rare that they are better...spider-man 2 and batman begins look to be the only sequels (if you could call batman begins a sequel) that actually might be better than the first ones. pretty much every other franchise has failed to live up to the first...on the upside, they did set the bar low enough...

Eric Bana's a good actor, so I think he should do fine.

I would rather have Hugh Jackman be James Bond

If you want to see a good spy/political thriller movie, watch 'Spartan' starring Val Kilmer. Sweet flick written and directed by David Mamet. :P

Imagine the possibilities:

Savage 007
Grey 007
Mindless 007
Devil 007
She-007...

That would be slick as hell. As for Bana: meh. Neither here nor there. As for Hulk, that movie blew hard as mo' fo' and i hope they don't try to sink more money out of a studio for another box-office turd.
