They can be played on a Dreamcast.. hinthinthinthint..

The characters from those games can be played using Mugen. There are about a thousand youtube videos of mugen in action, check a few out. You can also play wacky characters like homer simpson and marvin the martian.

I never got mugen to work when I tried it ages ago.. Is it still around? It's freeware right? Where do I download it from?

If you want a complete game that someone took the ttime balance and add characters than do a search for them or search torrent sites. The one called 100% hardcore reload is good. The guy that did it spent 6 months putting it together. There is also one called every one battle zero or something like that.

No, unfortunately they wont run on MAME.
But.... I've been able to run MVC2 & CVS2 on a dreamcast emulator called Chankast.

I played CVS1 on a playstation emulator called ePsxe. check the BT tracker on: http://www.emuparadise.org (use firefox broswer)
Also, if you happen to like SFA3 & SVC Chaos, check out Final Burn Evolution (fbevo). It's compatible with my 360 controller and arcade stick.

I've played one of the Marvel vs Capcom games with one of my friends using the copy of mame and roms that he has on his flash drive, but I have no idea which one it was.
