View Full Version : Pay Pal Question
Ive had pay pal for quite sometime and havent ran across this before but thought maybe they way they do things has changed.
Basically I sold some games and I put in the auction that I only accept pay pal from confirmed addressed accounts.
I had to refund more than 3 or 4 auctions because of people not paying attn.
This morning I get this as an excuse for why their account isnt confirmed-
Okay no problem however according to Paypal they told me because I'm less than 30 days member my address is unconfirmed!

According to PayPal:
Here's how you can confirm your shipping address:
Add a credit card to your PayPal account. By adding a credit card to your account, PayPal can attempt to confirm your address with your credit card company. If the credit card company is not able to confirm your address, you may be asked to complete the Expanded Use enrollment process to activate your credit card. Your address can be confirmed after that process is complete. Note: Not all credit card companies are able to confirm addresses.
Apply for PayPal Buyer Credit (https://www.paypal.com/us/buyercredit). If approved, the address on your application will be a confirmed address.
Complete Alternate Address Confirmation. This process takes several days and is only available for U.S. accounts. To learn more, log in to your PayPal account and visit the Alternate Address Confirmation page (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_account-aac).I've never heard of a 30-day waiting period before. I suppose they may be going through option #2 which takes time? Or maybe they need to go through the Expnaded Use enrollment process?

Keep an eye out - I got hit with a few scam-bidders 3 times last month (didn't fall for it, though). Somebody's creating new accounts, buying, then hoping you'll ship before Half.com can email you a "Unauthorized Funds" email.
