IMO, I think they are legit because the seller is from USA (hopefully) and, well, why would anyone want to pirate FF:CC? :D I love their music but let's face it - everyone hates this game. You'll get more money from pirating FFVII or the other more popular games from the series.

Maybe I just answered my own question but I still would like some feedback from people who have a keener eye for music CDs.

Legit, unless these bootleggers go through the hassle of making everything perfect like it was an original. I have bought several game soundtracks off of ebay and they're legit, and if not, well you couldn't tell the differences.

I really don't know why people didn't like this game. Me and my bros had a blast with it. The gameboy thing was a bit inconvenient (although at the same time, made it a lot more fun).

Also I couldn't imagine playing it alone, so i guess if you're trying to solo this game like other FF games, it won't really be that great.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but I've seen this too often and it's usually too good to be true. I used to be clueless about buying game/anime soundtracks over 6 years ago, until I realized half of my collection was bootlegs (e.g. some of my Final Fantasy soundtracks had 1-2 songs missing from the legit copy)

The majority of anime/game soundtracks offered on ebay are bootleg/non-legit copies made by pirates. Sometimes they're decent reproductions, often they're poorly made copies that gives zero profit back to the artists (obviously).

Another tipoff on bootleg on that auction is that the publisher is never listed and the seller is on the list of known bootleg resellers.

Also, it's unfortunate that most sellers have no idea that they're selling bootlegs because there's a gray area in the market about japanese CDs (don't have time to explain, gotta head to work!)
