I just got a 360 and play when my wife and daughter are sleeping...thus...with the volume lower than I'd like. I want to get a pair of good wireless headphones. Any advice? FYI....I'm really cheap, so anything crazy expensive won't work either. Thanks in advance!!

not wireless, but amazing. Incredibly comfortable too...aside from the weight, you can barely tell they're on your head.

I picked up a nice pair of sony bluetooth headphones hoping to use them for some night gaming but have found that there's a small but definately perceptible delay in the audio which can be very distracting. Maybe the IR ones done have that problem but I'd stay away from BT if I were you.

I have the turtlebeach headphones. I love them, they are usually on sale somewhere 1x a month. I got the wired ones, as the wireless reviews weren't as high as the wired one. Besides the in game audio, it also will play audio from chat. It has a mic attached to it.

The wired ones, are those the X1s?

I know I'm stupid for saying this, but how the fuck do I connect my audio headphones to the game/tv audio? usually I'm good with this stuff, but not now >_<

yes

i love them...seperate audio for game sounds and voice chat...fairly good sounding...not surround sound, but fairly close. If someone is shooting me from behind, I can hear the difference.

Well I'm sold. Now, where do I get it on the cheap?

you need a female RCA to female headphone jack converter. not sure what the technical name is.

Just as another suggestion, the original X2 wireless phones aren't that great, but the X3's reviewed much better. You can read a review on IGN.

X2 on the Senns. They don't have the same functionality as the EarForce but the sound quality and comfort factor make up for that. Unfortunately you need a somewhat more cumbersome setup to use them. At school I have

360 audio cables split to adapter, plugged into the line in on my laptop, and out to my headphones. As for voice chat I have the sound re-routed to output through speakers (headphones), and I wear the 360 mic upside down on my neck so I can still talk. The only bummer is that I can't lower headset volume, so if someone is being extremely obnoxious it requires an in-game mute.

The EarForce headphones are just not great for extended play sessions - they're uncomfortable and the sound is too harsh (your ears will get fatigued). I can listen to the Sennheisers for hours and my ears don't get tired or sore. They're pretty amazing and well worth the cost, imo.
