I was wondering if the Sharp Aqous 46" lcd HDTV (mdl #LC46D43U) from sears this Friday was worth the 999$. I work at sears so i'll get 100 off and i'm allowed to come in before 5am and beat the lines, so I guess you can take that into account. I also wanted to know if there was a thread or site that lists the top HDTVs for price/size , kinda like the laptop thread that was started here. Thanks in advance.

yeah, that's pretty tough to beat...

check avsforum.com for info on specific tv's - there's some real tech-heads over there...

I have that tv, and paid almost 2500 last year for my 46" aquos - I think I have a different model, just make sure it displays 1080p. The picture is amazing, I have only seen 2 other tv's that performed better, one was a pioneer (top of the line, period) and the other was a sony bravia...

It is a great tv. :)

That model is 720p. Might want to think about the 47" at cc online right now, I think it was $1099. And there are other 1080p choices out there. At 46" you probably want 1080p.http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=192330&linkid=j13459594k1971&affiliateid=k1971&mid=sduidp0t0

Not that hard to beat Frys right now $777:

* edit it sold out today already

Also you caant zoom on HD channels, (not that I think this matters but its only 720P)

Lastly the processor is only 4 or 6 bit if I remember correctly.

Depends on how close you want to sit but 42" or less the rule is 720 is fine unless you are closer than 6'.

Thanks for the input, avsforum was a great tip appreciate the help with that. Still not sure about it, but i'll be checking around. I don't want to jump the gun on any of the deals that are going to show up at 12am on black friday.

You're not going to beat that deal, plus its guaranteed and you get a discount. Its a no brainer.
