God of War 2 - Atropos won't die

Any help would be awesome.

Playing God of War 2. I've beaten Lahkesis in her chamber which takes me outside to face Atropos on the sword.

I beat beat her up to get the O above her, grab here and go through the killing sequence, but all that happens is all my health, magic, and ROTG fills up. SHE DOESN'T DIE

I've already gone through this at least 6-7 times in 1 life and now I'm lost

I've even seen video online that when you go through the kill sequence she dies and you're sent back inside for the final battle.

Any ideas??

your copy of the game could be jacked up. maybe a scratch on the disk or something. try cleaning off your disk and maybe cleaning out your ps2 and try again. if that doesnt work play it at someone elses house.

I'm pretty sure it was more than seven times before she goes down. Yeah it took many attempts but you get the big O easy so you just have to keep going.
