I am really trying not to get my hopes up for this............. but I SO want this to be great. Deus Ex 1 is easily one of my favorite games of all-time, I thought Invisible War was a pile of crap. I am just afraid that without Warren Spector this game doesn't stand much of a chance.

Could go either way. Invisible War was utter garbage, and I blame that on the consolization of it... since they stripped out everything that made the original great in favor of "streamlining" things. But, it'd be awesome if this was a worth successor to Deus Ex 1.

Maybe its a good thing that its being developed by a new studio anyway, since the original guys messed up the sequel so bad. I really don't want to get my hopes up for this because Invisible War was so bad. Deus Ex is my all time favorite game, and its hard to live up to something like that but I'll remain optomistic on this.

The Original was awesome. But Invisible War was actually a pretty good game too. I don't get why there are so many haters.

Dear God, please do not suck.

Budge: The problem with Invisible War is that they totally stripped away all that made the original great. Without the original's heavy customization, Invisible War was merely a collection of mediocre shooting and laughable physics. IW's story sucked, too, but that's a bit more subjective.

EDIT: Elusive? 23 - 19. 23 - 19. Bitch.

The shitty story wouldn't have been as much of a problem if the original's story wasn't so damn good... and yeah, the shooting just wasn't fun. At all. And the music sucked.

Really though, I think the biggest problem was that the devs tried to make it a game where you could approach a situation any way you wanted. They focused too much on giving you choices and forgot to polish the game.

I've only played Invisible War, and it was pretty good IMO. So heres hoping the next one is better :)

See maybe that is my problem, I played IW and then I played the Original Deus Ex.

It's a cool looking trailer. While I've always loved the idea behind Deus Ex I never got into the games themselves. I played both of them but they never really kept my interest.

The other thing is I take it Warren Spector won't be behind this one? I know he has his own company now is working with Disney or something like that.

The first one was such a damn fine classic. Ah, the memories of when the demo first hit the net...

The second one was dissapointing to me.

No game has compared to the first Deus Ex EVER. The second one was hardly worth playing. Hopefully this one can deliver what the first one did, and more!

So, while Eidos Montreal is working on DX3, the lead designer on DX2 is busy explaining why his new game tanked (shock):

Hmmm...Reading that article helps me understand the political agenda of the DE IW storyline. "Ooooh, Harvey Smith, you're so effing...subversive." What a prick.

I can't help but be excited for a new Deus Ex, however without Warren Spector attached to the project in any way, I also can't help but be a bit skeptical.

I suppose I'll always be a bit hesitant about another game in the series after I started up Invisible War for the first time and discovered that the world wasn't really in a dark age like I wanted it to be.
