Create a profile at playstation.com and then make sure your profile information includes you in the Beta Test program.

I got it too, but first it says 4 days which would be August 6th, then it says: "Expected drop-date for all shipments is August 12, 2004." What is the real date?

Good god, you do know that a lot of betas were sold over the internet? Things like WOW beta keys and others, even if it is illegal you can't stop it.

How about dead betas, such as Socom II? I have the disc and manual, it's of no use to me, but surely someone out there collects Socom crap. Would this be allowed?

That wasn't the beta because the beta was delayed until August 20th. Check www.betatest.us.playstation.com

BigNick, its people lke you who dont want to test or cant test beta's that can ruin them for the rest of the people. Sony,MS and whoever else does these beta's take them seriously and if the people who are selected don't participate, they might not do any more. So, for everyone else who actually wants to test games, if you cant test something of dont want to, dont sign up or accept it if selected. Its just the right thing to do.

i got mine yesterday. so far its pretty fun. all you can do is play online 1 on 1 tho.

I think mine showed up to my old address yesterday. The delivery phone system at my old complex still dials my telephone number. UPS inadvertently called my house. Too bad my wife answered the phone and hung up before I knew what was going on. :( Hopefully the new tenant will give me a call.

yeah they put the CAPPV back in. you can creat belts for it too.
